Job Description

Our opportunity

Our Service Desk Team is responsible for working closely with key business staff to provide remote support over the phone. Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader, the primary purpose of this position is to provide 1st level support, troubleshooting systems and supporting on application problems.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Responding to incoming technical support requests from employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical guidance and solutions where possible
  • Logging all support interactions and maintaining accurate records of incidents and service requests
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of the knowledge base by documenting common issues and their resolutions
  • Assisting with user account management, including password resets, access provisioning, and account maintenance
  • Deploy and rebuild new laptops as per Standard Operating Environment standards
  • Research, investigate and document complex or unresolved issues before escalation to the appropriate IT support teams

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Other requirements

  • Understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and networks
  • Tertiary IT Qualifications (e.g. TAFE Certificate 4 or Diploma in IT)
  • Microsoft Certification in desktop support (e.g. MCSE or MCP)
  • Other desktop support qualifications (e.g. A-plus certification)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft desktop and network technologies and applications
  • 1 year experience in 1st level IT support role
